good twist on a used concept. maybe to heavy on bonuses in the south. other than that i like it.

it is a very hard board to see where you get your bonuses, even though there are plenty of them. it is a game set up for a long battle and a good plan. it takes some skill to win this one.

good board, more user issues than i like. castles are a nice touch. causes you to change your strategy constantly

I liked it. I was fooled by proximity and lack of contact and made some rookie mistakes. i had some color issues knowing where the bonuses were. ovearll very enjoyable board.

small board big action. things move quick and smooth. like it for a quick pick up game, no more than 3 players though.

probably my favorite board, it involves a time period map with good historical understanding and an appreciation of what it must take to truely hold europe. you had better have your head on a swivel or things can go off the rails in a hurry. definitely my favorite.

maybe i dont understand the way the country lays out. holding the eastern half of the board nets you nothing, while two islands get you a bonus made no sense to me.
